Twas the night before the night before Christmas and I was in home in South Florida. The end.

If you think I have the desire to write that whole “Night Before Christmas” thing out, you’re crazy!

Just wanted to stop and say Merry Christmas to everyone. I wanted to say thank you for all the love and support on the Christmas tour and all the shows prior to that during this year. I’ve so much enjoyed meeting you, seeing your towns and sharing time together.

I have a lot to be thankful for. I can always see that the clearest when I’m at home. Being with the people that make me who I am puts my feet on the ground in a way I can only feel and not really put in words. It’s that feeling of home, belonging and purpose, just because I’m in the same room with the people that give me so much love and acceptance. I am incredibly blessed.

My first night back in FL, the whole family went over to my parents’ house (this includes my brother and sister, their spouses and children). It was a cookie making, tree decorating party. I watched in awe at the patience my mom had with my nephews (4 yrs old and 6 yrs old) as she taught them (again) how to use my grandmother’s rolling pin properly… rolling out dough, cutting shapes and decorating and of course making a mess. It was perfect. And I watched with a HUGE smile on my face as my father, brother and brother-in-law gathered around and above and under the tree finding all the lights that had gone out. It was hilarious and amazing.

Christmas morning will be beautiful and sunny. At some point there will be coffee on the patio under the palm trees. I decided to not write Christmas letters to my family members this year. Last year I thought it would be a great addition to presents to write a heartfelt letter to each one of them, but it kind of put everyone in tears and I think we should skip that this time around. No one likes people sitting amongst crumpled wrapping paper and opened presents with their face buried in a letter and tears gently falling down their faces. MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!! Ooops.

Anyway, I hope you all are safe and warm and feeling loved. I hope there is hope in your hearts and that your faith is alive and that at some moment during the holiday season, you are filled with the wonder of the miracle of Christmas.

And something I really hope to get for Christmas is to be able to keep what I already have- the love and truth in my heart and the opportunity to share it with everyone I possibly can.

Love.
